Over 100 environmental professionals participated in a user’s group meeting over the course of three and a half days which included two full days of training with 22 unique classes, followed by a day and a half of technical presentations from VIM executives, engineers, and end-user partners. The event included a vendor area for real time collaboration of monitoring issues.
VIM personnel presented material on topics ranging from new software features, product innovations and support services. Industry presentations were given by partners from power, lime and the stack testing communities. Some highlights included:
- Matthew Boze presented on the decision-making process involved in choosing VIM above all other vendors to provide a fleet-wide data acquisition and reporting replacement for Florida Power and Light (FPL).
- Scott Millsaps presented on Duke Energy’s success in interfacing with VIM’s software to create powerful corporate dashboards.
Everyone enjoyed the West Palm Beach Brewery and its delicious wood-fired oven creations. The nearby Escape Room proved a welcome addition to the event presenting an exciting team challenge for the evening.
As with all VIM User Groups, the social activities continued poolside every night.
Thank you to all that participated.
