On May 6, 2022, the Clean Air Markets Division (CAMD) of EPA announced that the development of the new ECMPS 2.0 Beta web-based reporting tool has been extended through 2023. The switch from the current standalone ECMPS Client Tool to the web based ECMPS 2.0 JSON format reporting platform will become effective January 1, 2024. EPA intends to develop and release beta versions of ECMPS 2.0 (including quality assurance and emissions data functionality) throughout 2022 and 2023. For MATS Rule affected sources, the 2024 release will also include the data elements and reporting requirements specified in the Mercury and Air Toxics Standards for Power Plants Electronic Reporting Revisions which were published in the Federal Register on September 9, 2020. The existing ECMPS Client Tool and associated XML reporting format will remain in effect until January 1, 2024. VIM Technologies will continue to stay abreast of the ECMPS 2.0 Beta progress.
